Visitors to the fair will have the opportunity to meet renowned lecturers, who will, in turn, provide them once again with new experiences and knowledge through their educational presentations, as well as through their theoretical and practical knowledge.

The following groups below will hold a lecture as part of the English Lecture Block, on Friday, 21 February 2020, between 11:00 and 12:30, in the Conference Room in Hall 4:

IVANA NESKOVIC, STR, Great Britain

Topic: SEE Hotel Performance Overview 2019 : What are the numbers telling us about the year behind us?

Comparative overview of hotel performance in the capital cities across the SEE region. Did hotels manage to grow their Occupancy and ADR? Which region had the most success in it and is leading in terms of actual RevPar and in terms of growth or decline?

What was the impact on certain events on selected cities and what premiums hotels generated, if any? These are just some of the questions that this 20 minute presentation will try to answer, with dedicated Q&A time for the audience as well.

Topic: New Media vs Traditional Media

The presentation explains the different kinds of media focusing on travel trade media and new media, such as bloggers, vloggers, instagrammers etc and how tourism enterprises or destinations can engage with media and trade to generate business, by analyzing the various traditional and non-traditional types of media.

Ivana Nešković

IVANA NEŠKOVIĆ, STR, Great Britain

Ivana Neskovic is Senior Manager, Client Services & Regional Accounts in STR, based in London, UK.

Having commenced studies of tourism management in her home city of Belgrade, she continued her education in England obtaining master’s degree in Marketing in Tourism from University of Surrey. Since then she has worked in travel and hospitality industry and her career is blend of different experiences in destination marketing and management, project management, event organization and finally research, benchmarking and consulting. She has joined STR 5 years ago and currently leads Client Services team in STR as well as team of Regional Account Managers for EMEA region. She holds CHIA certificate and is in process of obtaining Cornell University certification in Real Estate Investments and Asset Management.

Charlotte Noel

CHARLOTTE NOËL, Travel Rebel, Belgium

Charlotte Noël is 28 years old and she comes from Belgium.

She studied International Business Management in Toulouse, Barcelona and Berlin.

She is a sustainable travel expert, lecturer and an adventure junkie.

She is also a founder of TravelRebel – the leading platform in Sustainable Travel.

Vicky Karantzavelou

VICKY KARANTZAVELOU, Travel Daily News, Greece

Vicky Karantzavelou – Vicky is the co-founder and editor-in-chief of the TravelDailyNews Media Network (for Greece and Cyprus, Asia and the Pacific and the whole world). She is also responsible for daily operations and financial policy.

She holds a BA in Tourism Business Administration from the Technical University of Athens and an MA in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wales. She has many years of both academic and industrial experience within the travel industry. She has written/ edited numerous articles in various tourism magazines.
