Since Ministry of Tourism started the program of voucher supply (RSD.5,000 per person) so far, a quarter million passengers used this opportunity. Each following year was better, so last year the best results were achieved when all 100,000 vouchers were supplied almost two and a half months earlier, due to the record response of the citizens!

– This was contributed also by the awareness waking up of our citizens that Serbia is beautiful and attractive travel destination, where it is good to spend holiday or at least a part of it – says Renata Pindžo, Assistant Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications in an interview for Novosti.

Among the citizens interested in the voucher use, most of them were retired persons (53 percent), then the employed ones with the salaries not exceeding RSD.60,000 (35 percent) and unemployed persons (11 percent).

– The most demanded destination, according to the number of the issued bookings (30,325) is Sokobanja – highlights Renata Pindžo. – Then follow Zlatibor, Vrnjačka, Prolom and Ribarska Spas. The highest interest in this subventioned type of holiday was shown by the inhabitants of Belgrade, Niš, Novi Sad, Pančevo and Kragujevac. The citizens had at their disposal 1,220 categorized hospitality facilities, which is 34 percent more than in 2017.
