ADVENTURE BEGINS AT TOURISM FAIR
Under the slogan “ADVENTURE BEGINS HERE!” the most significant tourism event in the entire Southeast Europe region and other parts of the world – the 45th International Tourism Fair, will take place at the Belgrade Fair from 22 Feb 2024 to 25 Feb 2024, in halls 1, 1A, and 4.
The International Tourism Fair (ITF) is one of the key business pillars of the Belgrade Fair and the entire Serbian tourism industry. Tourism has a significant impact on the economy and acts as a strong driver of economic growth and development, creating synergy among related sectors and contributing to the overall prosperity of the country. The Belgrade Tourism Fair, as the most visited tourism fair in the region and beyond, through a large number of business guests and B2B activities, constitutes a significant market of several tens of millions of potential tourists.
Due to exclusive fair prices, first-minute offers, and packages with numerous benefits, the Tourism Fair has been for years, a favorite annual landmark for visitors, providing a selection of arrangements and destinations, as well as an overview of everything the tourism sector has to offer. Promotions of popular and available arrangements, attracting visitors and travelers to new destinations, and stimulating economic activities during the fair days, subsequently reflect on the entire tourism year, which is usually marked by the ongoing Tourism Fair.
The partner country of the Tourism Fair 2024 is Greece, and this collaboration will contribute to further improvement of tourism between the two countries. In the pavilion of the National Tourism Organization of Greece, the most popular destinations for Serbian citizens traveling abroad for summer vacations, visitors can expect exhibitors from all over the country, from regional representatives and tourist organizations from the most popular Greek destinations to professional associations. Unique thematic experiences and products from Greece are expected, marked by a long history and gastronomy, offering opportunities for additional networking during the fair with related Serbian tourism representatives.
This year, Cambodia, Ecuador, Saint Lucia and Libya will participate at the Tourism Fair for the first time, while the returning countries include Indonesia, Cuba and São Tomé and Príncipe. Traditionally, the fair will feature the most significant tourist agencies, associations, and organizations, hotels, tourist centers, transportation companies and international tour operators.
Serbia will show its tourism assets in Hall 4 of the Belgrade Fair through presentations by the National Tourism Organisation of Serbia (TOS), the Tourist Organization of Belgrade (TOB), the Tourist Organization of Vojvodina (TOV), as well as numerous local and regional tourist organizations from all parts of Serbia. In halls 1a and 1, the Guarantee Fund of AP Vojvodina and the Provincial Secretariat for Economy and Tourism will have a noticeable performance.
With carefully planned and creative presentations, all exhibitors at the Tourism Fair will strengthen their brands and effectively show their tourism offerings, which has turned to be a strong motivator for the decision of fair visitors who are passionate travelers and tourists, as well as business visitors and participants in B2B programs who purchase group arrangements.
This year, all participants, foreign and domestic tourist agencies, and legal entities have access to the B2B portal designed for registration, both as exhibitors and business visitors. Registration enables free promotion to companies and contacts with other registered members, as well as scheduling meetings during the fair with exhibitors, and potentially making agreements for future cooperation.
Under the slogan “Be My Guest” and simultaneously with the Tourism Fair, the 19th International Fair of Hotel and Catering Equipment HORECA-EQUIPMENT will take place in halls 2A and 2C, bringing together numerous domestic and foreign companies from various fields related to hospitality industries that raise every tourist offer to a higher level – through production, distribution and sale of hotel and catering furniture, equipment for kitchen, restaurants and bars, as well as service activities, new business trends, supply, and functioning of hospitality facilities.
All these aspects together make this grand event at the Belgrade Fair the most important annual event in the promotion, development and improvement of the tourism industry in the region.
