Bed, internet and robot
Great bed, perfect wifi and Chatbot available 24 hours, seven days a week – the latest trends in the hotel industry.
Experts believe that the hotel industry is at its turning point and recommend hoteliers to adapt to the needs of modern guests, which means that before investing they think carefully about what they will spend their money on. The keys have long been replaced by cards, so what’s next?
The rooms have changed by ditching the closets. More specifically, there are shelves and dressing rooms, but no doors. Today’s tourists travel frequently, stay short, and it is more important for them to have a suitcase area than to unpack their clothes.
Guests are non-stop online today, so a comfortable bed and wifi are essential for every hotel. Tourists are impatient, whilst hoteliers need to provide simple applications allowing the guests to quickly book and check in as no one wants to wait for their receptionist to attend to their guests’ needs.
The state-of-the-art technologies will reduce the number of employees or make their job easier, so Chatbot is the first robot to hire. It is available 24/7 to answer all questions asked by the guests who are most annoyed when waiting to be answered. According to a survey by IBM, around 85% of hotel chains will accomodate Chatbots this year.
